Provision of opportunities to improve mental/physical health & avoid isolation
Efforts and supports are designed to empower individuals and their families to access community resources and opportunities to participate and contribute actively in the community.
The Arc enhances the social bonds among members of the developmental disability community through networking, linking parents to parents, self-advocates to self-advocates, motivating them to work together to help each other, to share information with each other; and links individuals and families to state and national leadership training to learn to speak out for people with disabilities.
